undergraduate education online

The Engineers PRODUCED in Virginia program allows students in Virginia to earn an Associate of Science in Engineering degree (or equivalent) from their local community college and then a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the University of Virginia,  without relocating to Charlottesville for their studies. UVa courses and degrees are available online via live, interactive webcasts during the day.

Students are choosing the PRODUCED program because they can:

    • Study while also working part-time for great engineering employers across Virginia.
    • Pay for their UVa education with money earned in long-term, paid engineering internships.
    • Graduate from UVa with no debt, paying for college with money earned from paid internships.
    • Build their resumes with two to three years of ongoing engineering work experience.
    • Engage in top quality courses and degree programs taught online by UVa faculty.
    • Participate in their classes using UVa’s live, interactive learning environment.
    • Connect with other PRODUCED students during and after class using UVa’s live, interactive learning environment.
    • Learn valuable distributed communication skills that give them a “leg up” in today’s globally-connected workplace.
    • Position themselves at the front of the hiring line well before graduation, through early employer connections facilitated by the program.
